Dana Smith
General Manager
Dana Smith joined Palos Verdes Tennis Club in 2020 and was appointed General Manager in 2022. A USPTA-certified tennis professional, Dana brings over 35 years of experience in racquet club management and player development. Known for her steady leadership and member-first approach, Dana is passionate about fostering community and creating a positive, engaging club atmosphere. Her expertise spans operations management, program development, and staff leadership-all grounded in a genuine commitment to enhancing the member experience.
Nate Bly
Assistant General Manager
Nate Bly joined Palos Verdes Tennis Club in 2018 and was promoted to Assistant General Manager in 2022. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Santa Monica College and brings extensive experience in operations, member relations, and staff leadership. Nate oversees front desk operations, member services, and day-to-day club support while working closely with the General Manager on strategic growth. Nate is known for his professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to an exceptional member experience.
Mike Wojnarowicz
Director of Tennis
Originally from Hawaii, Mike Wojnarwicz joined Palos Verdes Tennis Club in 2020 and serves as the Director of Tennis. A standout junior player, he went on to compete at the Division I level for Loyola Marymount University, achieving a national doubles ranking of No. 35 in NCAA Division I. Before PVTC, Mike was the Junior Tennis Director at The Oahu Club, where he developed extensive experience coaching juniors and adults of all levels. He brings an energetic, technically driven coaching style and a strong commitment to player long-term development.
John Carrizosa
Head Tennis Professional
John Carrizosa joined Palos Verdes Tennis Club in 2012 and brings over 30 years of coaching experience to the court. He enjoys working with players of all ages and abilities, from 10-and-under beginners to nationally ranked juniors, and Marine League competitors. His students have included an NCAA doubles champion and a member of the U.S. Junior Davis Cup team. John teaches the Modern Tennis Method, a simplified, results-driven approach that accelerates learning and helps players progress with confidence.
Ken Shoji
Director of Junior Tennis
Ken Shoji joined Palos Verdes Tennis Club in 2012 and has been coaching tennis since 2004. Born and raised in Torrance, California, Ken began playing tennis at a young age and competed extensively in junior tournaments throughout Southern California. Before joining PVTC, he gained international coaching and playing experience at leading tennis academies in Australia, China, and Japan. Ken brings a global perspective to his coaching, emphasizing strong fundamentals, technical precision, and a genuine passion for player development.
Adam Sexton
Director of Pickleball
Adam Sexton joined Palos Verdes Tennis Club in 2025 as Director of Pickleball, bringing vibrant energy and a deep passion for racquet sports. Born in San Diego and raised in Columbus, Georgia, Adam competed in tennis through college before turning his lifelong connection to the sport into a full-time career. He began teaching pickleball in 2022 and later earned his RSPA certification through the USPTA. His coaching journey has taken him from Atlanta to New Orleans to Miami Beach, where he led programs with enthusiasm, technical insight, and a genuine commitment to player development. Now based in California, Adam is excited to share his experience with the PVTC community.
Martin Redlicki
Tennis Professional
Martin Redlicki joined PVTC in 2025 with a standout record as both player and coach. A former UCLA star, he is a two-time NCAA Doubles Champion (2016, 2018), a former No. 1-ranked collegiate player in singles and doubles, the 2018 ITA National Player of the Year, and a 200-plus–match winner. He went on to compete on the ATP Tour, appearing in the US Open main draw and reaching career-high rankings of No. 381 in singles and No. 187 in doubles. Martin later shifted to coaching, serving at Oklahoma State and as Assistant Coach and Director of Player Development for Pepperdine University Men’s Tennis. He brings a high-performance mindset and deep expertise in player development to the club.
Regina Esperanza
Tennis Professional
Regina Esperanza joined Palos Verdes Tennis Club in 2024 and is a USPTA-certified tennis professional with a strong background in coaching and youth development. A South Bay native, she played collegiate tennis at El Camino College and Cal State Dominguez Hills and holds an Early Childhood Education Certificate of Achievement. At PVTC, Regina plays a central role in the junior program, blending technical instruction with developmental expertise to help young athletes build strong fundamentals and a lasting love for the game. She also serves as head coach for Chadwick School’s girls’ and boys’ tennis teams.
Harry Wright
Tennis Professional
Harry Wright joined Palos Verdes Tennis Club in 2025 and brings a dynamic international background to the coaching team. Originally from Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, he is a highly qualified tennis professional with both LTA Level 3 and USPTA certifications. Before PVTC, Harry coached full-time at Westlake Athletic Club in Westlake Village. He began playing competitively at age eight and later represented his club’s Men’s 1st Team. Known for his energetic and engaging teaching style, Harry creates a fun, supportive environment that helps players of all ages develop their skills and reach their goals.

Ramon Toro
Facilities Manager
Born and raised in Mexico, Ramon Toro joined Palos Verdes Tennis Club in 1989 and has been a cornerstone of the PVTC community for more than three decades. Known for his reliability, work ethic, and warm personality, Ramon brings exceptional dedication and craftsmanship to his role as Facilities Manager, ensuring the Club remains a beautiful and welcoming place for members and guests alike. Outside of PVTC, Ramon enjoys spending time with his wife, their three children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandsons.
